Lube Oil system

All diesel engines consume a certain amount of lube oil, usually about 0.1% of their fuel consumption, so allowance must be made for this in lube oil storage. On top of this there must be provision for oil changes. It is advisable to have provision for waste oil storage. Most engine makers permit a certain proportion of waste oil to be mixed with the fuel and burnt but generally this is hardly worth the trouble involved.
